The Bluegrass Island Festival 2017:
The Sea Ranch Resort is proud to support Bluegrass and Mountain music lovers here on the Outer Banks
It’s beautiful here on the Outer Banks in October. It’s beautiful AND there’s music – Bluegrass music. The Outer Banks has been a mecca for traveling musicians for years dating back to the days of the casinos. In recent years, the Outer Banks has been the home of multiple festivals with a variety of styles of music. This time of year we celebrate a few days that are becoming an anchor date for many travelers – The Bluegrass Island Festival. This festival is held each year at Festival Park in Manteo. If you haven’t been to Festival Park, we highly encourage you to go. It is a stunningly beautiful venue that serves as a perfect location for concerts. The Bluegrass Island Festival is a relatively young festival with a handful of years under its belt, but the talent that shows up to play is as deep as it gets.
The line up this year is outstanding:

If you are attending the Bluegrass Island Festival 2017 we highly encourage you to stay with us of course! The Sea Ranch Resort is located in the heart of Kill Devil Hills and we are a short 25 minute drive to Manteo where the festival is happening. We are also central to so much of what makes the Outer Banks special. We are a music and musician friendly hotel that features live acoustic music at the Beachside Bistro all summer and into the fall (weather permitting). We also hosted Ramblin’ At The Sea Ranch last winter which was a weekend of traditional music and workshops that was a blast for everyone.
We hope to see you soon with a smile on your face from too much Bluegrass!
